The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar expands its product range in the MICE sector with the inauguration of new space
The Rafa Nadal by Movistar, one of the world’s leading sports centres, is continuing to expand its wide range of services thanks to the constant improvement of its facilities.
The high-performance centre in Manacor has become one of the biggest tourist attractions in Mallorca thanks to the implementation of its sports programmes that are available to everyone, its wide ranging gastronomy and some of the Balearic Islands’ leading leisure attractions, such as the Rafa Nadal Museum, which welcomes over 50,000 visitors every year.
Now, thanks to the inauguration of new spaces, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has expanded its rooms for events, filming and recording, in a move that has proved very popular for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism and provides the perfect space for holding MICE events. In fact, its ample spaces, the diversity of rooms and varied gastronomy provide companies with numerous possibilities to surprise their clients or guests, who can also complement their time with tennis and padel or leisure and interactive activities in the Rafa Nadal Museum.
Currently, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar organises numerous company events in a conference room that is ideal for meetings and presentations. This well-lit space is characterised by its panoramic views of the Academy and it has a large LED screen and audiovisual system. This spring will see the inauguration of a new 386 m2 auditorium with a capacity for 300 people, which can also be divided into different sized rooms based on the size of the event.
The iconic outdoor centre court at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has also become a perfect place for various different types of ceremony thanks to the capacity of the lateral stands. Likewise, the 1,215 m2 indoor court is ideal for events, filming and recording.
Another of the areas chosen by companies to hold small-scale events is the Australian Open space, whose outdoor terrace is ideal for organising coffee breaks, drinks and finger food.
In terms of restaurants, there is a large variety of options on site, such as the US Open Restaurant (buffet), the RNA Club House gastro-bar and the Roland-Garros Restaurant, an exclusive gastronomic space within the academy whose décor is based on the Paris Grand Slam and includes images of some of the most important players in the history of the tournament, including Steffi Graff, Chris Evert, Björn Borg and Rafa Nadal himself.
The Rafa Nadal Museum has also become an iconic location for celebration dinners. In this exclusive space, diners can enjoy an unforgettable evening surrounded by the first and only exhibition of the trophies won by Rafa Nadal throughout his career. In addition, the academy organises Mediterranean lunches and dinners at the Sa Punta Restaurant, located in the Port Verd cove, with stunning views of the sea and coast.
