Rafael Nadal and the US Open enjoy a close and fruitful relationship. In fact, after Paris, New York is the city where he has celebrated the most Grand Slam titles, with a total of four (2010, 2013, 2017, 2019), a mark he shares with John McEnroe, another local legend.

The Spaniard is the defending champion at Flushing Meadows, after a memorable final in which he defeated Daniil Medvedev in five sets (7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4). Last year’s US Open final is one of three the man from Manacor has won in the final set at a Grand Slam, the others being 2008 Wimbledon and the 2009 Australian Open (beating Roger Federer in both).

But the special bond Nadal enjoys with New York does not end there. His victory in the 2010 final against Novak Djokovic is undoubtedly etched into the minds of his fans as with it he became only the seventh man in history to complete the career Grand Slam.

One year ago, Rafa delivered his 19th Grand Slam trophy to the Rafa Nadal Museum Xperience, leaving him just one short of Federer, who currently holds the record of 20.

Hace un año Rafa trajo al Rafa Nadal Museum Xperience su Grand Slam número 19, lo que lo sitúa únicamente a un peldaño de Federer, que tiene fijado el récord en 20.
