Andy Murray returned to the Rafa Nadal Academy to take part in a very special celebration: the Academy’s tenth anniversary. The former world No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion was one of the stars of the Rafa Nadal Academy Slam, which brought together top tennis figures in Manacor, with Rafa and Andy leading their respective teams.

Now, fans can follow the Scotsman through the 24 hours he spent at the Academy thanks to the video published on the accounts of The Set | Andy and Jamie Murray and the Rafa Nadal Academy. It’s a journey that shows how he experienced his visit, from his stay at the residence to the long-awaited moment of sharing the court with Rafa once again.

During his stay, Murray toured the facilities and got an up-close look at the spaces that are part of the Academy’s daily life, and he visited the Rafa Nadal Museum, where he was able to look back on the career of one of his great rivals and fellow players from his generation, and came away impressed.

“I loved touring the museum, for me that was the best part. Rafa had a great career, so seeing all his trophies and all those memories again was something really special for me. They did a great job”, Murray said.

There was also time to share his experience with the Academy’s young players. Before the exhibition, Andy took part in a training session on the center court, giving some of them the chance to trade shots with one of the biggest names in world tennis.

The visit culminated in his participation in the Rafa Nadal Academy Slam, where he once again faced Rafa. After so many matches on the professional tour, the two were reunited on court to celebrate the Academy’s tenth anniversary and give fans another chance to enjoy their tennis.
