‘Building a Legacy’, the book that explores the first ten years of the Rafa Nadal Academy
ARN Publishing House
Ten years of history and a legacy that continues to grow. The Rafa Nadal Academy is celebrating its tenth anniversary and publishing ‘Building a Legacy’, a book that looks back at the project’s first decade since it opened its doors in Manacor in 2016. The publication includes an interview with Rafa Nadal, who reviews the origins, evolution, and future of the Academy and summarizes the philosophy that has accompanied the project since its inception: “Our mission has always been to shape individuals.”
Across its 200 pages, Building a Legacy recovers some of the stories that best represent these first ten years. Among them are those of Casper Ruud, who arrived in Manacor in 2018 as world number 143 and reached number 2 in the ATP rankings; Alex Eala, who joined the Academy at just 13 years old and has undergone an extraordinary evolution from junior tennis to the professional elite; or Max Basing, who after training at the Academy and the Rafa Nadal School, continued his studies and sporting career at the prestigious Stanford University thanks to a scholarship.
The book also dedicates a prominent space to the international expansion of the Rafa Nadal Academy. What began in Manacor has become, ten years later, a global project that has brought its methodology and values to different destinations around the world, with a presence in Kuwait, Costa Mujeres, Greece, Hong Kong, Marbella, Punta Cana, and Egypt, and new projects planned in Brazil and Lombok (Indonesia).
Building a Legacy is, ultimately, a journey through a first decade marked by tennis, education, internationalization, and, above all, by the people who have been part of the project. Ten years of inspiring champions and building a legacy for future generations.
