The Rafa Nadal Open by Movistar Returns: A Standout Tournament on the Challenger Tour
RNA Editorial.
After six successful editions that have cemented its status as a prestigious event on the ATP Challenger Tour, the Rafa Nadal Open by Movistar will celebrate its seventh edition from August 25 to 31.

Rafa Nadal himself, the driving force behind the event, expressed his satisfaction with what has become one of the most important annual tournaments held at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.
“Honestly, I’m really happy. Over the years, incredible players like Andy Murray and Marin Cilic have played here, and it’s very rewarding to see how happy and grateful the players are when they leave. I think from the very first year, the public has responded incredibly well, and seeing a full stadium shows that the tournament is a success both on a sporting level and socially, thanks to all the activities organized around it. For everyone here at the academy, this is an exciting week — it’s the tournament where we host top players and do our best to deliver a high-level event. The players always leave satisfied, and that means a lot to us. It gives us energy and motivation to keep growing.”
Once again, thousands of fans will gather in the stands of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Manacor to watch top professional players and rising stars — future members of the tennis elite — compete live.
Big names like four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz, former world No. 1 Andy Murray, and Spanish tennis icons Fernando Verdasco and Pablo Andújar have already competed at the Rafa Nadal Open by Movistar — a tournament widely regarded by players as one of the best on the ATP Challenger Tour. In this seventh edition, players will aim to join a winners’ list that includes Bernard Tomic (Australia, 2018), Emil Ruusuvuori (Finland, 2019), Lukáš Lacko (Slovakia, 2021), Luca Nardi (Italy, 2022), Hamad Medjedovic (Serbia, 2023), and Duje Ajduković (Croatia, 2024).
The Rafa Nadal Open by Movistar has firmly established itself as one of the top summer events in Mallorca, drawing crowds of 10,000 spectators each year. In addition to the matches, fans will enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, music, and gastronomy for all ages and audiences.
MOVISTAR, the tournament’s main sponsor, will also provide television coverage of the event through the Movistar Plus sports channels. This partnership further strengthens Movistar’s ongoing sponsorship of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar since 2016 — a world-class sports center where young players from around the globe receive both tennis and academic training, and which hosts internationally renowned competitions.
As in the past six editions, entry to the tournament will be free of charge, and fans can download their tickets from the official website: www.rafanadalopen.com. Additionally, anyone who downloads their ticket will be able to visit the Rafa Nadal Museum for just 10 euros.
