The Argentine Solana Sierra has been proclaimed champion of the first edition of the Mallorca Women’s Championships, the WTA 125 tournament held at the Mallorca Country Club of Santa Ponça. The Rafa Nadal Academy player beat the Serbian Lola Radivojevic 6-3, 6-1 in the final in just one hour and 12 minutes of play.

The victory came with suspense, as the final had to be interrupted by rain shortly after the start, when Sierra was already leading the first set by 4-2. The match was able to resume and Sierra continued to make the difference thanks to her efficient serve and her dominance from the back of the court.
Sierra, number 1 seed of the tournament, collected the trophy from her compatriot Gabriela Sabatini, to whom she dedicated these words: “Having Gabriela here has been a great source of inspiration”.

With this triumph at the Mallorca Women’s Championships, Sierra rounds off a simply spectacular year 2025. The 21-year-old won her first WTA 125 title in Antalya in March and climbed into the Top 100 of the WTA rankings for the first time in July, after her breakthrough at Wimbledon, where she reached the last 16 of the London Grand Slam.

In addition, Sierra becomes the eighth player to win two WTA 125 titles this year, following Dalma Galfi, Anca Todoni, Tereza Valentova, Francesca Jones, Veronika Erjavec, Kaja Juvan and Sara Bejlek.
