Brazil to have the first Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in South America

The new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center will be located in Porto Belo, in the state of Santa Catarina, and will offer world-class sporting facilities with 17 tennis courts (9 outdoor, 7 indoor and one center court), with both clay (6) and fast-court (11) surfaces. In addition, it will have 8 padel courts, a café, a sports equipment store and an exclusive gym for players and visitors.

The new center, which is scheduled to open late in 2028, will offer tennis programmes for players of all ages and levels, based on the methodology developed by Rafa Nadal and his coaching team during his more than two decades on the professional tour.

The new complex will form part of the ambitious All Resort Resort Club Residence project, developed by the All Wert Group. The newly-constructed residential and hotel resort will become one of the country’s most innovative leisure and sport destinations. As well as the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, it will boast a flood-lit golf course, an artificial beach with a wave pool, football pitches, three hotels and over 12,000 residents.

Rafa Nadal spoke of his enthusiasm for the new project: “We’re so happy that the international expansion of the academy is reaching South America. Brazil has a huge passion for sport and I’m sure the project will be a success”.

For Richard Schwambach CEO of All Wert Group, the launch of the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Brazil marks a new chapter for the development of tennis in the country. “At All Resort, sports are an essential part of our identity because they represent movement, discipline, and perseverance — and they are a cultural practice that reflects values, identity, and energy.”

The Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Porto Belo comes amid a context of sustained growth of tennis in Brazil in recent years, with an estimated annual growth of 6% in participation. This growth is bolstered by the Brazilian Tennis Development Programme, an initiative of the Brazilian Tennis Confederation, and by the fact that Santa Catarina has established itself as one of the areas of the country with the most tennis players, only behind Sao Paulo.
