The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has expanded its photovoltaic installation within its facilities.

The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has expanded its photovoltaic installation within its facilities with an additional 199 state-of-the-art solar panels as part of its commitment to sustainability. These panels will not only transform the sun’s rays into clean and renewable electrical energy, but they also consolidate the Rafa Nadal Academy’s mission to contribute to a more sustainable future and raise awareness of the importance of energy saving and caring for the environment.

A total of 664 additional solar modules have been installed, each with an average power of 550 Wp, which will allow a significant percentage of the installation to be covered through self-consumption. The implementation of the solar panels will, overall, result in savings of between 8% and 14% of the academy’s daily consumption, depending on the activity and the weather. This infrastructure will have a positive impact on two aspects: first, on the electricity bill, with the economic savings it represents, and second, on the use of clean and sustainable energy.

This photovoltaic installation has received a subsidy of 87,835.44 euros from the CALL FOR PITEIB GRANTS. COMBINED ACTIONS FOR LARGE CONSUMERS.

Project supported by the Direct Granting Program for the Balearic and Canary Islands, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU through a grant of €87,835.44.
