From Manacor to Texas and from there to the stage of the ATP Finals, Pedro Vives’ career better summarizes the spirit of the Rafa Nadal Academy: training, perseverance, and limitless ambition. And the story of Pedro Vives is a story of overcoming challenges — one that now reaches an important milestone.

The 23-year-old tennis player, originally from Palma, has been rewarded for his efforts with one of those experiences that can define a career: being a sparring partner for the eight best tennis players in the world right now at the Nitto ATP Finals held in Turin. There, he has been able to train over the past few days with Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and Ben Shelton, in sessions organized by the ATP itself.

Trained at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, where he already shared the court with Rafa Nadal, Casper Ruud, and Jaume Munar, Pedro Vives made the leap to the United States to continue his training. He graduated in Economics from Texas Christian University (TCU), one of the top powerhouses of American university tennis.

Vives decided this year to return to Spain to relaunch his professional career after a stint in the United States that proved key to regaining the confidence and competitive ambition that characterized him from his beginnings at the Academy.

With a clearly ascending season, the player currently holds 464th place in the ATP ranking and has achieved several significant milestones in 2025, such as being crowned champion of the ITF held at the Rafa Nadal Academy.
