The 8th edition of the \u201cUrban Race Mallorca by NDL\u201d was a huge success in the charity race organized by the Rafa Nadal Academy to help those affected by Dana, which caused serious human and material losses last October in the Valencian Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charity race, in which 730 runners participated, ran through the center of Manacor and included two categories: 6 km and 11 km. The youngest participants enjoyed the Urban Race Kids, which featured different routes tailored to each age group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the registration fee and donations made on race day, 22,500 euros were raised. Maribel Nadal, Deputy General Manager of the Rafa Nadal Academy, was responsible for presenting the donation, which was made through the Red Cross. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domingo Rossell\u00f3, Director of Health and Fitness at the Rafa Nadal Academy, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the event: \u201cWe are very happy with the great response this race receives every year, but this year we exceeded expectations. The people have embraced those affected by the disease in a very special way, and it has been evident in the atmosphere. The sporting atmosphere we experienced with the families, children, and athletes has been an example to everyone. We know that the pain caused by the disease is irreparable in almost every way, but we hope we have contributed to ensuring that everyone continues to remember that this tragedy must not be forgotten and that we must continue to help, each in our own way.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the sports category, Mohamed Nouri (with a time of 0:34:54) and Marta Obrador Moll (0:42:19) won the 11-kilometer event. Sergi Reurer and Gerard Armero completed the men’s podium, while Paula Mayero and Nuria Tauler finished second and third in the women’s race. Adri\u00e1n Guirado and Frederique Kemme dominated the 6-kilometer race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both before and after the race, participants were able to participate in fitness activities led by volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 8th edition of the charity race was made possible thanks to sponsorship from NDL and the selfless support of Movistar, Cantabria Labs, and Quir\u00f3n Salud. Other collaborators in the charity event included Coca-Cola, RCD Mallorca, Bezoya, Mallorca Paintball, Mallorca Fashion Outlet, Palma Aquarium, Met Productions, Consell Esports Mallorca, Aficine, Leo Manacor, Manacor Comarcal, Rotuls Manacor, Hiper Centro, Galletas Quely, Can Benyo, Xtrem Sport Shop, Mi Peque\u00f1a F\u00e1brica, Mueller, Ravanetto, and Fruites y Verdures Moya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
