The Rafa Nadal Academy has once again become one of the major reference points in international tennis during the pre-season period. With their sights set on the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, and the prior tournaments to be held on Australian soil, the players are fine-tuning their preparations in these final weeks of 2025.

Lorenzo Sonego, training at the Rafa Nadal Academy

As is tradition, the Academy in Manacor is currently hosting tennis players from all over the world, who have chosen its facilities to carry out their preparation stage before starting one of the most demanding tours on the calendar.

Among the players currently training at the Academy are established names from the ATP circuit and up-and-coming young talents. Players such as Lorenzo Sonego are repeating for the third consecutive year in Manacor, as is the German Jan-Lennard Struff. They have been joined by players with extensive experience such as Fabian Maroszan, Norbert Gombos, Alex Molcan, Nikoloz Basilashvili, Kamil Majchrzak, and Jesper de Jong.

They are all sharing the court these days with players trained at the Academy itself, such as Coleman Wong, Abdullah Shelbayh, and Martín Landaluce, who prepared his assault on the Next Gen ATP Finals at the academy. They have also shared the court with Ivan Ivanov, who after winning two Grand Slam titles in 2025, became the best junior player on the planet. After achieving the best year of his career, Jaume Munar will also join the pre-season in Manacor these days.

With regard to WTA circuit players, and after an exciting 2025, academy players Solana Sierra and Alex Eala have spent these weeks preparing their assault on 2026 accompanied by Alina Korneeva. The pre-season at the academy also includes young international promises, such as Hannah Klugman, Ziga Sesko, and Diego Palomero.

The state-of-the-art facilities, which include 45 tennis courts, a complete sports medical center, gym, spa, and residence for athletes, make the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar the ideal place to lay the foundations for the next season, offering players a comprehensive environment for work, recovery, and rest.

This multicultural environment with a high level of competition reinforces, once again, the role of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar as the epicenter of world tennis, both in the pre-season and during the months of competition, an environment in which experience, emerging talent, and elite preparation come together to face the first major challenges of the year with ambition.
