Another outstanding achievement for the Rafa Nadal Academy players on the junior Grand Slam stage. Slovenian player Ziga Sesko was crowned Wimbledon Junior Doubles Champion alongside Brazil’s Guto Miguel, defeating Americans Michael Antonius and Andrew Johnson 6-1, 6-4 in the final. With this victory, the Rafa Nadal Academy reaches 14 Junior Grand Slam titles won by its players across the four majors: seven singles titles and seven doubles titles.

At just 17 years old, Sesko continues to confirm his enormous potential on the international junior circuit. The Slovenian joined the Rafa Nadal Academy in March and has now captured the first Junior Grand Slam title of his career.
Sesko’s triumph adds to the remarkable list of Rafa Nadal Academy players who have lifted one of the four junior Grand Slam trophies. Alex Eala, Daniel Rincón, Coleman Wong, Martín Landaluce, Alina Korneeva, Yaroslav Demin, Max Exsted and Ivan Ivanov are all part of a generation of players that has established the Academy as one of the world’s leading centres for developing young tennis talent.
The excellence of the Rafa Nadal Academy Annual Program, which combines high-performance tennis training, an international academic education and a methodology built around the values that defined Rafa Nadal throughout his career, has positioned the Academy as one of the world’s leading institutions for developing future champions.
Alex Eala was the first player to pave the way for this generation of success by winning the 2020 Australian Open Junior Doubles title. She repeated the feat at Roland Garros in 2021 before capturing the 2022 US Open Junior Singles crown. In singles, the Academy’s first Junior Grand Slam champion was Daniel Rincón, who won the 2021 US Open Junior title. He was followed by Martín Landaluce (2022 US Open), Alina Korneeva (2023 Australian Open and Roland Garros) and Ivan Ivanov, who claimed both the 2025 Wimbledon and US Open Junior titles.
In doubles, alongside the titles won by Alex Eala (2020 Australian Open and 2021 Roland Garros) and Ziga Sesko (2026 Wimbledon), Junior Grand Slam champions also include Coleman Wong (2021 US Open and 2022 Australian Open), Yaroslav Demin (2023 Roland Garros) and Max Exsted (2025 Australian Open).
