Roger Federer has returned to the Rafa Nadal Academy to visit the new Rafa Nadal Museum, the renovated museum space that retraces Rafa Nadal’s life and career through immersive experiences, audiovisual content, original memorabilia and some of the most iconic moments of his journey.

The former Swiss tennis player returned to the Academy facilities one year after his last visit and almost a decade after attending its official inauguration in October 2016, although this time Rafa Nadal was unable to accompany him.

During his tour of the new Rafa Nadal Museum, where he was accompanied by Sebastián Nadal, Gustavo Marcaccio, Tennis Director of the Rafa Nadal Academy, and Gonzalo Pérez, Head of the Rafa Nadal Museum, Federer spent particular time in the room dedicated to the Big Three, one of the most representative spaces of the new exhibition. There, visitors can discover personal items donated by Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, as well as enjoy exclusive audiovisual content in which the three protagonists recall how they experienced from the inside one of the greatest rivalries in the history of sport and the legacy they built together over more than two decades.

After completing the visit, Federer highlighted the emotion conveyed by the new museum and the great work carried out in its renovation: “It’s wonderful to see everything. It’s beautiful. There’s a huge amount of work behind it, but above all it’s very emotional.” “.

Federer also recalled having visited the previous museum and highlighted the evolution it has undergone with this transformation: “I remember what it was like at the beginning, but now it’s really spectacular. It’s beautiful, it’s really very well done. It’s a very special place. Congratulations to the whole team. I’ve already told them personally. You’ve done a fantastic job.”

As Roger Federer was able to experience first-hand, the new Rafa Nadal Museum offers a completely renewed experience that allows visitors to explore Rafa Nadal’s career from a completely new perspective. Through immersive spaces, original memorabilia, large-format audiovisual content and interactive experiences, visitors can relive some of the most iconic moments of his career and gain a closer understanding of the values of hard work, perseverance and humility that have defined both his professional and personal journey.

The relationship between Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal goes far beyond the historic rivalry they shared on court. Between 2004 and 2019, they played 40 official matches and starred in one of the most admired rivalries in the history of sport, making a decisive contribution to one of the greatest eras of professional tennis. Away from competition, the two have maintained a close friendship that has grown stronger over the years and was reflected in emotional moments such as Federer’s farewell at the Laver Cup.
