Rafa Nadal once again acted as a role model on and off the court during a very special day for the Annual Program students at the Rafa Nadal Academy.

As part of the ‘Rafa Nadal in conversation with RNA Players’ session, the 22-time Grand Slam winner shared reflections on the importance of humility, daily attitude, and confidence in hard work as fundamental pillars of sporting and personal growth.

During the meeting, Rafa answered questions about training, technical evolution, mental toughness, recovery, nutrition, and adapting to professional tennis, making it clear that there is no single path to success. “There isn’t just one way to succeed,” he explained, encouraging players to find their own style based on their talent, mindset, and understanding of the game.

One of the central messages of the session was the value of daily attitude. “Go out on the court every day with the goal of being better,” he conveyed, highlighting that constant improvement stems from hard work, humility, and the ability to listen to those supporting the player in their development.

Nadal also emphasized the demands of training and the importance of competing for every point at the highest level, even in practice sessions. For the Spanish champion, intensity, discipline, and attention to detail are determining factors that ultimately make the difference in competition.

On a mental level, he left another key reflection for the young tennis players: “Ego can do a lot of damage.” In his opinion, humility is indispensable for continued growth, both in victory and defeat, and for accepting that there is always room for improvement.

Furthermore, he wanted to stress that true success goes beyond titles. “Trophies are just trophies; what remains are the feelings and the satisfaction of having given your best every day,” he told the students.
