Promising young Swedish player Leo Borg joined the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar this week. Although he was planning to arrive in Mallorca a few months ago, he was unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Leo has worked intensely and enthusiastically during his first days under the orders of Toni Nadal’s coaching staff, combining on-court training with fitness work in the gym.

Leo, the son of ex-world number 1 and 11-time Grand Slam champion Björn Borg, came to the Academy for a few weeks last year along with his father. During their visit, Björn was full of praise for Rafa and the Academy: “The standard of coaching at the Academy is very good and I think they’re doing a great job. That’s why my son has come here, I’m very happy about that and I hope many more come in the future because the Academy is very good”, said the 6-time French Open champion.
