Abedallah Shelbayh was crowned champion of the ATP Challenger in Las Vegas after defeating American Alex Rybakov 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 16 minutes, rounding off a successful weekend for the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar players following Martín Landaluce’s triumph at the Challenger in Orléans.

The 21-year-old Jordanian player showed great solidity from the start to win the first set 6-2. In the second set, Rybakov managed to balance the score to 4-4, but Shelbayh kept calm and gave the final blow to close the match and win the title.
With this victory on U.S. soil, Shelbayh consolidates his status as one of the great promises of Arab tennis and adds a new success for the players of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.
