The Rafa Nadal Academy Slam gets underway at Sa Punta restaurant

The Rafa Nadal Academy Slam is already underway. Hours before stepping onto the Academy’s centre court this Saturday to celebrate its tenth anniversary, Rafa Nadal played host to the other stars of the eagerly awaited exhibition at a very special dinner at Sa Punta restaurant, one of Mallorca’s most iconic venues.
The evening brought together, away from the court and in a relaxed atmosphere, Rafa Nadal, Andy Murray, Richard Gasquet, Carlos Moyà, David Ferrer, Marat Safin, Dominic Thiem and Fabio Fognini, who will take part in a historic day in Manacor this Saturday.
The dinner, also attended by former footballer Raúl González and Rafa’s manager Carlos Costa, set the stage for the event taking place this Saturday at the Academy, where Rafa Nadal will play a tennis match again following his retirement at the end of 2024.
Set in a privileged location beside the Mediterranean, Sa Punta restaurant offers a gastronomic experience where the setting and sea views combine with a culinary offering crafted from carefully selected produce, fusing gastronomic tradition with contemporary techniques and flavours.
With all the stars now in Mallorca and the Academy prepared for the occasion, the dinner at Sa Punta opened a very special weekend. Ten years after the inauguration of the Rafa Nadal Academy, some of the biggest names who defined an era in tennis will share the court once again in Manacor to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the project together.
