Rafa Nadal himself, the driving force behind the event, highlighted the importance of the tournament for both the and Mallorca: “The Rafa Nadal Open is a very special week for all of us. It allows us to bring professional tennis to Mallorca and provide players with an environment where they can compete at the highest level. Over the years, we have been fortunate to welcome great players and witness many young talents take important steps in their careers here. We are very proud of how the tournament has evolved, and we will continue working to ensure that each edition is even better than the last.”

The 2025 edition held special significance for the Rafa Nadal Academy, as Daniel Rincón became the tournament champion, becoming the first Academy-trained player to win the title in Manacor in front of his home crowd.

The tournament’s list of champions includes Bernard Tomic (2018), Emil Ruusuvuori (2019), Lukáš Lacko (2021), Luca Nardi (2022), Hamad Medjedović (2023), Duje Ajduković (2024), and Daniel Rincón (2025), reflecting the Rafa Nadal Open’s ability to attract some of the ATP Challenger Tour’s most outstanding players and future stars of world tennis each year.
