Rafa Nadal Academy players have participated in an environmental initiative in collaboration with the Chelonia Association to contribute to the protection and conservation of Mallorca’s coast.

The event, involving 102 players and part of the Academy’s staff, consisted of a beach clean-up day focused on waste collection and environmental awareness.

The activity is part of “Mares Circulares” (Circular Seas), an initiative promoted by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and The Coca-Cola Foundation, in which the Academy participates for the third time. This project, developed in Spain and Portugal, works on cleaning coasts and seabeds, raising public awareness, and promoting the circular economy through innovative solutions to the problem of marine litter.

Since its creation in 2018, the program has carried out 939 actions on beaches and in aquatic environments, mobilizing over 61,000 volunteers and collecting more than 3,000 tons of waste.

The Rafa Nadal Academy’s collaboration reinforces the sports institution’s commitment to sustainability and the conservation of Mallorca’s natural environment, involving its students in social and environmental impact initiatives beyond the sporting sphere.
