The city of Gijón is once again part of the Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by The Adecco Group calendar, with a new event taking place from May 8 to 10 at the VAD4 Padel facilities.

Following last year’s success, Gijón returns as a host city for the third edition of the circuit, establishing itself as one of the key locations in a Tour that continues to grow in both participation and territorial reach.

The Asturian event will be the second stop on the 2026 calendar, following the kick-off in Santander, in a season that will visit some of the country’s major cities such as Madrid, Jerez de la Frontera, Valladolid, Estepona, Seville, and Valencia, before the final event in Manacor.

Maribel Nadal, Deputy General Manager of the Rafa Nadal Academy, highlighted the importance of continuing to consolidate the circuit in strategic locations like Gijón:
“We are very pleased to return to Gijón, a city that already demonstrated its great connection with padel and our circuit last year. We continue working to offer an increasingly complete experience to players, maintaining our essence and committing to the sustained growth of the Tour both in Spain and internationally.”

The Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by The Adecco Group enters its third edition in 2026 after a historic 2025, in which the circuit brought together nearly 2,000 players and confirmed its status as one of the leading amateur competitions in Spain.

After doubling the number of participants in 2025, the Tour consolidates a calendar in Spain structured around multiple events before the final stage which, as is tradition, will be held at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.

The backing of The Adecco Group as title sponsor, along with the support of strategic partners such as Babolat, Quirónsalud, COX Group, BIKKOA, and Padel Point, continues to be decisive in the Tour’s growth, adding value to each event through activations, prizes, and exclusive experiences.

Furthermore, the circuit continues its international expansion project, and in 2026 the United States will host new events in cities such as Miami, Austin, and New York, confirming the project’s global ambition. Italy will also play a prominent role again with events in Rome, Milan, Naples, Florence, Turin, and Ancona.

True to its identity, the circuit maintains its team format inspired by the Hexagon Cup, one of its great distinguishing features. Each team will consist of a minimum of six players divided into three pairs per tie, guaranteeing at least two matches per event and promoting both competitiveness and the collective experience.

An experience that transcends competition

The Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by The Adecco Group maintains its goal of bringing the values, methodology, and DNA of the Rafa Nadal Academy to amateur padel, combining competition, experience, and community at each of its venues.
