Jaume Munar ended the 2025 season, undoubtedly the most successful of his career on the ATP circuit, playing with Spain in the grand final of the Davis Cup held in Bologna against Italy, who were once again crowned champions for the third consecutive edition.

The Mallorcan’s presence in the Spanish squad confirms the status he has achieved this year, establishing himself as one of the most reliable players on the circuit and an important piece for the national team.
Since October 25, Munar has been ranked No. 36, the highest position of his career in the ATP ranking, the best ranking of his career. His rise has been based on a season full of milestones, starting with his outstanding performance at the US Open, where he reached the round of 16 of a Grand Slam for the first time. In essence, a turning point in his career.
In addition, the tennis player trained at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has shone in several tournaments on the calendar, reaching the semifinals in Basel and Dallas —both ATP 500— and in Hong Kong (ATP 250). At the Masters 1000 level, he signed a commendable round of 16 in Rome.

One of the most outstanding aspects of his season has been his performance on indoor courts, where he showed an exceptional, constant, and competitive level against rivals of great stature. Proof of this are his victories against Top 10 players, such as Ben Shelton, in Basel, and Daniil Medvedev, in Miami, two triumphs that consolidated his leap in quality.
Munar acknowledges that he is experiencing a very special moment in his career:
“It has been a very positive year. At a tennis level, I have improved in many aspects, and maturity is helping me to compete better. I feel that I am an increasingly complete player. I am very happy with what I have achieved, but I am clear that I want more,” he explained after closing the season.
The Davis Cup final also put the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable 2025 for the Mallorcan, who closes the year as one of the great names in Spanish tennis on the international scene.
From the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar we thank you, Jaume, for your grit, fight, passion, and for giving absolutely everything on the court. Congratulations to Spain, David Ferrer, and the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation for their result in the Davis Cup.
