Roger Federer visited the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar this Thursday, giving those present a nice surprise in the middle of summer. Taking advantage of his visit to Mallorca during the summer season, Federer visited the facilities in Manacor, reuniting with one of his closest partners on the tour. It was a morning of nostalgia, fond memories, and plenty of sport between two figures who transcended tennis.

The Swiss player had the opportunity to experience firsthand the intense activity at the facilities, visiting the training sessions of the children who have been enjoying themselves on the slopes over the past few weeks. With his usual friendliness, Roger signed autographs, shared fun moments, and accepted photos with the little ones, exciting the youngsters taking their first steps in the sport.
Federer has been a key figure in the development of the Rafa Nadal Academy, where he attended its official opening firsthand in 2016. A witness to the center’s development during its first decade of existence, the Swiss returned in January 2024 to enjoy the growth of an internationally renowned sports complex, where many ATP Tour figures already train throughout each season.
Federer and Nadal maintain a close relationship off the court after leading a golden era on the ATP Tour, elevating the popularity of tennis to unprecedented levels. The Spaniard and the Swiss forged one of the most iconic rivalries in the history of the sport between 2004 and 2019, playing a total of 40 matches on the circuit’s biggest stages. With 20 and 22 Grand Slam singles titles, respectively, Roger and Rafa are two living legends of professional tennis.
