Rafa Nadal’s Triumphs in Paris Immortalized on a T-Shirt

On May 25, Roland Garros will pay tribute to the greatest player in its history. As a salute to Rafa Nadal’s epic feats in Paris, the “14” T-shirt has been created and is now available at the Rafa Nadal Shop.

This will be the first edition in which we won’t hear Marc Maury’s famous line at an official match—a phrase that so often lifted the crowd at Philippe Chatrier to their feet: “And 14 Roland Garros: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022.”

The T-shirt commemorates the only time in tennis history that a player has won 14 singles titles at the same Grand Slam. Since lifting his first “Coupe des Mousquetaires” on debut in 2005, Rafa has claimed 14 titles on the red clay of Paris (2005–08, 2010–14, 2017–20, 2022).

Over his career, Nadal has played 535 matches on clay, winning 484 and losing just 51—a 90.5% win rate. In best-of-five-set clay matches, his record is an astonishing 137–4 (97.1% win rate).
